Stored HCB Waste Export Applications

In November 2008, Orica lodged new applications with the Australian Federal Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA) to export its waste for destruction at the Kommunekemi Plant in Nyborg, Denmark.

These applications were published in the Commonwealth Government Gazette on 27 November 2008. A copy of each application (excluding confidential company information, such as terms of confidential contracts) is available below: 

• Orica HCB Export Application 1  (1,387 KB):For HCB and chlorinated wastes containing HCB.
• Orica HCB Export Application 2  (1,387 KB): For crushed packaging, contaminated with HCB and chlorinated wastes.
• Orica HCB Export Application 3  (1,386 KB): For construction and demolition wastes (including mixed wastes) containing HCB.
