Further Groundwater Investigations

Report on Extremities Investigations

The investigations looked for the presence of groundwater contamination related to current or historic operations on Botany Industrial Park (BIP), in areas external to BIP. The studies were undertaken in accordance with the Notice of Clean Up Action issued by the NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change (now the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water - DECCW), which requires Orica to delineate the extent of volatile chlorinated hydrocarbon contamination, associated with its operations at BIP, in groundwater .

North-Eastern Extremities Investigation

The investigation assessed the presence of groundwater contamination to the north and east of BIP.
