Progress Reports

Orica prepares quarterly Progress Reports under the Notice of Clean Up Action (NCUA) and subsequent variation notices for the Botany Groundwater Cleanup Project .

The progress reports provide details of Orica's cleanup progress against the NCUA, NCUA variation notices, and Orica's associated Groundwater Cleanup Plan. They are submitted quarterly to the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (DECCW), and distributed to NSW Office of Water (a part of DECCW) and other government agencies, environmental organisations, local governments, local industries, and Community Liaison Committee members who have requested a copy.

Attached to each progress report is the URS Orica Botany Environmental Survey Stage 4 - Remediation Groundwater Treatment Plant (GTP) Quarterly Report. This report details the last round of groundwater and surface water testing. This report also details the effectiveness of groundwater containment across the three containment lines (Primary Containment Area, Secondary Containment Area and Botany Industrial Park Containment Line).
